Cosby's lifelong contributions to American culture were
recognized with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1998 and the Presidential
Medal of Freedom in July 2002, America’s highest civilian honor. He also
was awarded the Mark Twain Prize in 2009. He has touched countless
lives through the Emmy Award-winning animated series “Little Bill,” his
best-selling book “Fatherhood,” and his game-changing family sitcom “The
